Great food, good tasting, fast service and attentive staff.

The service was great and the place is nice and clean. However, the food is average to slightly above average. The chips and salsa was okay. The carnitas where not crispy like a I am used to and they used flour tortillas. The refried beans were bland.

The food was really good and the service was fantastic. The salsa was a bit on the spicy side but was really good and the chips were warm.

I eat here when I'm in town and I love the food and the staff, never had a bad meal.

Had great service, i went for a late lunch and they were not busy so easily seated. I asked if i could just get a bean and rice burrito and the waitress found something on the menu and made the adjustments. The chips were fresh, thicker and salsa was good. Food came quickly and was very good, service was good, would reccomend.

I've always love this place. With the new owners, the menu has stayed the same...but I think they have new ways of making the same food, and somehow it tastes even better! The rice used to be hard, but not any more. The queso is awesome. The shrimp quesadilla is fantastic.

When I visited, it was the dinner hour so there were quite a few folks there. Atmosphere was friendly, waitstaff were busy, but friendly. I ordered the taco special...deep fried soft shell tacos...since it was Taco Tuesday, I rec'd 4 tacos...2 shredded chicken, 1 pulled pork & 1 ground beef. Lots of lettuce & cheese. I ordered ala cart, so no sides. Price was about what I expected. The menu had a lot to choose from, including steak dishes...which surprised me! They were cooked Mexican style, of course.Overall, a good place to gather.

I love Maria's Mexican Restaurant. I frequently go there. They have a taco Tuesday special, which is buy one get one free taco. They also offer a margarita special on Tuesday. The food is good, arrives quickly, staff has been professional and courteous and attentive to their customers. There is a nice selection on their menu to choose from. I would say this is one of the nicer restaurants in Atchison Kansas if you're looking for Mexican food.

I always enjoy the food here, the chicken and queso are both quality. The restaurant itself is decorated really whimsically which adds to the experience, it’s very colorful. It’s a bit pricey but not too bad. Probably not authentic but it’s Atchison Kansas sooooooo... I don’t know what you expected.

I've been all over the US, and this place is the best I've had. Deep fried flour shell chicken taco was awesome. The chili reano was so very good, no other like it. Service was very friendly

Take it from a chef for 20+ years in the business. Do not go here! The food is sub standard, the "salsa" is watered down so much it barley taste like tomatoes. The food is under seasoned and taste reheated. You better off going to Lopez at least the food is great, and the atmosphere is so much better.

I love the salsa and chips in here very nice, very crispy chips, good salsa not overly chunky but not too minced. I usually get the Carnitas but it's a lot of meat and it's so juicy. I would recommend Maria's to anyone who is looking for a hearty Mexican dish.

We have been trying to go here for years and finally got to eat here today. Glad we did. The food was great. I had the Special Lunch #1 which was a Chile Relleno, Taco, Refried Beans and a guacamole salad. The Taco Meat was seasoned extremely well and the Chile Relleno was great. You could actually taste the Poblano Pepper since it was breaded lightly and just the right amount of Cheese and sauce. My wife had the Pollo Asada and the Chicken was cooked perfectly and the Cheese sauce was very good. We would recommend trying this place sooner than later. We were disappointed with the Flan. It tasted burnt and was too dense.

My son took me out for dinner tonight to his favorite Mexican restaurant. It was my first time here. Excellent service, exceptional food. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely go again. Large menu and drink selection too.

We've been once before and enjoyed the queso and mango margaritas a lot. Came back tonight to be informed by the host whose facemask was under her chin that we were not allowed inside unless we wore a mask the 6ft walk to the table. The 2 patrons inside the restaurant were not wearing masks either. Im sure taking those 6 steps masked are going to make a difference. Laughable. How disappointing.
